Shake Shake Shake in the Stadium District

Shake Shake Shake just opened in 2013, but it’s already become a staple of North Tacoma cuisine! The retro, diner-style restaurant resulted from an idea that Gordon Naccarato and Steve Naccarato (brothers and local Stadium High School alumni) had wanted to pursue for years. Along with Tacoma artist Robert Stocker, they were able to make it happen.

Two of Shake Shake Shake’s main culinary attractions include their mouthwatering burgers and unique milkshakes, but that’s not all that’s on the menu. A selection of hot dogs, fries, sweet potato fries, tater tots, onion rings, sundaes, spinners, and bottled Mexican sodas all keep things fresh. Plus, they’ve recently added alcoholic beverages to the mix, and their drink menu now includes boozy shakes, signature cocktails, wine and beer.

The vibrant interior of the diner has made its mark on the community, too—it seems like everyone who visits takes a photo with that iconic “EAT” marquee sign in the background. Vintage chairs from the old Tacoma Elks Club bowling alley, a vintage MultiMixer and vintage milkshake glasses are just a few of the fun accents that make this place really come together. Their outside picnic area out back has been seriously spruced up this summer, and now includes some fancy fire pits!

The dynamic diner is also always rotating in new, seasonal shakes (Ginger Snap Shake, Egg Nog Shake, Blackberry Shake, etc.) and crazy delicious burgers (The Dunkelburger, The BBQ Beast Burger, etc.). I recommend following them on Facebook so you don’t miss out on new offerings, deals and other announcements!

Also, Shake Shake Shake was featured on Evening Magazine this month! Check out the video clip here:
